What is pickup soccer & drop-in football?

Pickup soccer (called drop-in football outside the US) is the fastest way to play. A host picks a field — a free local park or a booked turf — sets the format and time, and posts the game. Solo players RSVP, show up, and play. No season-long commitment. No team to assemble. No 30-message group chat to schedule one match.

Many JoGo.Team games are completely free — Saturday kickabouts at the local park where the host doesn't charge a cent. Others run $5–$15 per player to cover turf or indoor field rental. Both work the same on the platform: RSVPs, waitlists, balanced teams on-site, wallet credit when you cancel a game you paid for on JoGo.Team, and reminders so nobody flakes. Formats range from 5-a-side futsal indoors to full 11-a-side outdoor matches. Every event page lists the tone (competitive / friendly / beginner-welcome) so you can pick what fits.

What is JoGo.Team?
JoGo.Team is a global platform for pickup soccer and drop-in football. It connects you with real games hosted by local players — no team required, no group chats to chase. Reserve a spot in 30 seconds, show up, play.
How does pickup soccer / drop-in football work?
A host books a field and time, sets the format (5v5, 7v7, 10v10, 11v11), and posts the game. Players RSVP, pay their share, and show up to play. Everyone leaves when the game ends. No season, no commitment, no team to assemble.
Do I need a team to join?
No. JoGo.Team is built for solo players. You RSVP for an individual spot, get added to the player roster, and show up. The host splits players into balanced teams on-site.
How much does it cost?
Most games are between $5 and $15 per player, depending on field rental, format, and city. Some hosts run free games. Each game's price is shown on its event page before you reserve.
What if I'm new to my city?
Pickup is the fastest way to meet players. Browse upcoming games in your city, RSVP for one that fits your schedule and skill level, and show up. No game in your city yet? You can host the first one.
How do I host my own game?
Sign up, become a host, book your field, and post the game on JoGo.Team. We handle RSVPs, payments, payouts, reminders, and waitlists. You set the time, format, price, and rules.
What if I can't make it, or the game is cancelled?
Tap Cancel on the game page as early as you can. If you paid on JoGo.Team, by card or with your JoGo Wallet, the game's price is credited to your JoGo Wallet for your next game. Some paid games have a no-refund deadline, set by the host a few hours before kickoff, and the game page shows it before you pay. If you cancel after that deadline, your spot is freed but nothing is credited. If you paid the host directly, in cash or by transfer, that money is between you and the host. If the host removes you from the game, what you paid on JoGo.Team is credited to your JoGo Wallet, even after the deadline. If the host cancels the whole game, the host can credit what you paid on JoGo.Team to your JoGo Wallet; if you don't see it, ask the host. If the game is free, there is nothing to pay back.
Is there a skill requirement?
No skill gate — most games welcome all levels. Some hosts mark their games as competitive or beginner-friendly. Each event page lists the format and tone so you can pick games that fit you.
What do I need to bring?
Cleats, shin guards, water, and both a light and dark shirt (so the host can split teams on-site). The host provides the field, the ball, and the goals.
